Why a facial is a great gift – for anyone

Angela Krymowski

It’s that time of year when you’re looking for the ideal gifts for the people in your life – but there’s always someone who you think probably has everything, and you really don’t know what kind of gift will put a smile on their face.

Everyone loves to be pampered though, so why not look into buying someone a certificate for a facial or massage? It’s the perfect way to tell someone that you care about them, and give them an opportunity to take 30, 60 or even 90 minutes to relax and take care of themselves for a while.

A facial makes you feel good

There’s no getting away from the fact that a facial treatment leaves your skin looking and feeling amazing, so if you think that someone special needs a little pep in their step, buy them a facial!

Sometimes people can neglect things like skincare and facial treatments because they are busy, or just can’t seem to justify spending money on themselves, so let them know that YOU think they are worth it and present them with the gift of some gorgeous pampering.

Facials can be functional

Of course, booking in for a facial is a treat, but if someone has skin concerns like acne, rosacea or is worried that their skin is looking tired and dehydrated, a facial treatment can really sort them out. If your teen has no clue how to look after her (or his) skin, a facial can be educational too. Add in a certificate for a few home care products and set your child on the road to good skin care habits for the rest of their life.

A spa gift certificate shows that you’ve given them some thought

You could just buy a novelty mug, give them an Amazon gift card or opt for chocolates. But if you’ve gone to the effort of finding a great skincare clinic, and then buying a gift certificate, it really shows not just a bit more effort but also originality. A certificate for a spa day is like a little hug – a way of saying “I really thought you would enjoy this” and can also be a nudge to your loved one that they could give THEMSELVES the gift of precious me-time too.

All in all, a facial says, “I care”, so why not treat someone?
