COVID-19 Vaccine and Massage

Angela Krymowski

Q: How soon after I get my Covid-19 vaccine, can I receive a massage? A: I suggest that you wait at least 48hours after your shot to receive a massage session. Most people will have some local arm pain and swelling, but some people will have more severe, flu-like symptoms. If these reactions happen at all, they usually develop within 48 hours of the injection, and most people find they resolve after a day of discomfort. If you do develop flu-like symptoms (like fatigue, headache, muscle pain, joint pain, chills, nausea, vomiting, and fever), it is best that we delay your massage until you are back to full speed.
